The turtle wants to go out to the world to find rabbit liver for the sick Dragon King. But he doesn’t know what a rabbit looks like, so he has a painter draw an image of a rabbit. “Image of Rabbit” from pansori Sugungga connects this particular scene to “Tiger in Coming,” where the turtle mistakenly thinks a tiger is a rabbit.
Sword Dance-Chumbit Dance Company

Sword Dance

Chumbit Dance Company (Musically gifted children)

Heo Ji Hyun, Chae Ga In, Kim Bo Ram, Jo Jae Hee, Park Seo Hyun, Jin Lee

Sward dance originates from young monks dancing with swords in both hands in the Silla Dynasty, and then the dance changed into gisaengs dance in the late Joseon Dynasty. But during the Japanese invasion, Admiral Yi Sun-sin made them perform the dance with the victory dance for the morale support for the officers and men. The performance is introverted, well organized, and features delicate dance routines. Also, the instruments play traditional ballad tones. Chumbit Dance Company is founded for the future Korean traditional classical music artists to learn our traditional culture and music, to learn teamwork from performing with friends, and to become the light of the world by learning about volunteer work and manners.
